SO many things have happened since I last blogged... I turned 30! Feeling pretty good about that!! I hosted my Mother's Day event!! I will post pics, but you can go to Tara's blog to see them, if you'd like! My best friend has just gotten engaged!! Congrats Jennifer!! And Shawn, too!!
I have been feeling some better!! Thank God!! I was anointed a few weeks ago and am holding to the faith that healing shall soon come!!
Isn't is strange that while I have been making this journey toward Christ, on a deeper level, I have been trying to be a better Christian and have a more regular quiet time with Christ and while I try and do these awesome things the devil has set out to take me down, however he can't get me down. I have been learning to speak things in the name of Jesus and that is totally cool how when you speak it in His name - those evil forces HAVE to go!! They have to! They will come back, eventually, but if you are ready for them they have to flee at His name!
I had an encounter today that makes know I am on the right track or the devil would not have placed that possible stumbling block there. I believe that I made it through the test intact, but the hurt is there.
So, while this may not make sense to anyone else this is my putting good thoughts out to cyberspace! It may hurt when we have been attacked without reason, but if we turn it to God He will see us through... On that note, I'll practice what I'm preaching, since it is past 2am I will say goodnight...

Life on the Edge

Okay, so I know that I have been silent for more than a month, but let me assure you I am alive! This has been a very stressful couple of months. I have remained somewhat healthy for the last couple of weeks... we hope this continues.
Scott entered his busy season the 1st of January and has been keeping long hours during the week and 9 to 5 on Saturday - but we managed to find time for each other, so that's all I care about!
Married life is delightful! We have settled into things quite nicely and are deeply enjoying our first year as a married couple!
He continues to support me with everything that goes on and prays for me and loves me and says I deserve it - I try to tell him I don't deserve him. He doesn't listen.
So for now things may be starting to settle down... which I welcome! Scott will resume regular hours within the next month or so, but at least as of this weekend no more weekends!!

Happy Normal!!

I am happy that the Holidays have come! I love them, but am so glad I survived them! So, I am very excited to get back to normal! We had a very busy couple of weeks!! But lots of fun mixed up in the rush!! It was so great to get to be with family. My cousin Jeremy was in! He is in the Army, so that was a special treat! We all met up at my Grandparents and had a great time! It's always nice to be able to spend time with family! Christmas morning was really wonderful! Scott and I fixed breakfast and then opened presents! Penelope had a stocking and it was pretty funny watching her go for the Candy Cane Rawhides in it!! Later we headed to my Mom & Dad's and ate together!! On the way home, Nell drove!! Saturday, after Christmas, Jennifer and Darric came for a visit! It was great to catch up, but too short! The day before New Year's Eve, we headed to a cabin in the mountains, for 2 nights!! It was so neat!! We were in the middle of 2 rock mountains, I took pics, but they don't do justice at all. We so enjoyed hanging outside on the deck in the hot tub! It was so cool to be so warm while being outside in the freezing cold!! I have a feeling that will become a New Year's Tradition!!
Happy
Normal!!

Amy is gone....

Amy left and I have been so busy that I have failed to post any pictures! We actually didn't take too many - she was feeling under the weather a bit. She came from FREEZING, SNOWING Chicago to Cold and Rainy Kentucky. So, she caught a bit of a cold. But, we had fun!! We went to Southern Lights, that's where the 1 of the Horse Parks puts up 4 miles worth of Christmas lights! It is a blast and then you end up at a building where they have a petting zoo and all sorts of shops and things like that! We totally got out of the car at 1 of the 12 days of Christmas lights display and got our picture in from of it - you are not supposed to do that, so it was pretty fun and we were pretty sneaky!! It was in front of the 9 Ladies dancing - it was dark so all you can see are our silhouettes, but it is us!!
We stayed in and got movies and ate Pizza and Mac n' Cheese and Cookie dough, ya know, the good stuff!!
Anyway, it was great visit!!

Amy DeAnne is on her way!!

I am so excited b/c one of my very best friends will be arriving in Kentucky tomorrow!! Amy and I have know each other since we were in college and have kept in touch all these years!! She has been such a great to me through our long friendship!! We have cried over boys together, met new boys together... ya know, girl stuff, lots of ice cream and pizzas and not sleeping!! Those were the days!! Anyway, I am looking forward to our time together, but I know that it will end all too soon. We are going to doing some touristy type things!! I will post pics!

I SO have a Halo...

I realize that my last post was WELL OVER a month ago... sorry about that!! But, alas, I am alive and well!!
Part of the reason for the delay has been the wiring in the house... we had to get it hooked up into another room and let's just say... not an easy thing to accomplish!! Sometimes I wonder if this house is held together by duct tape and band aids!! I joke, but it has crossed my mind!
Anyway, we are heading into the holiday season, full speed ahead!! I have 2 friends coming from out of town this month!!! I am so excited, I love company!!! We also have 3 weddings to attend!! Not to mention, Christmas shopping, baking and visiting with family!! It is going to be a very busy month!!
I am however truly excited to spend my Christmas with my WONDERFUL husband!! He is so good to me and I really don't deserve anything that he does for me and trust me, that is a lot!! We have the house decorated and that was a ton of fun!! He was laughing at me while I was putting the ornaments on the tree... apparently I was covered in glitter... I tried to convince him that it was some shimmer falling off of my Halo, but for some reason, he chose not to believe the obvious truth!!
Anyway, now that things are up and going at the house it should not be as much trouble for me to keep my posts in the current tense!!
Love to all...

Sheeeesh...

Well, I am posting this, not b/c I have free time, but b/c I am sure looking at the same blog all the time is very tiring.
My life has sure sped up since my last post, I didn't even think was possible!! I thought after the wedding things would slow down, but no such luck!!!
The honeymoon was great! We had so much fun in Nashville and Memphis! We packed so much into our time away. While in Nashville, we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Ryman, Touristy type things, ya know?! And, of course, we stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel... It was BEAUTIFUL!!!! We had a suite with a balcony that overlooked the garden and lake area! All I can do is to post pictures, but even they do not give the justice it deserves.
In Memphis, we stayed at the Heartbreak Hotel!! Of course we did the whole Graceland thing, it was a blast, but Scott is Elvised out. We went to the Rock n Soul Museum and ate Ribs on Beale Street! That was a blast!! We ate at this hole in the wall restaurant called Blues City Cafe. When we walked in the smell was heavenly, but when we noticed the condition of the place we were a little concerned... Scott said that it was THE dirtiest place he had ever been... I had to agree with that myself. But, even after all that, we stayed and we were glad we did... the Ribs were worth it!!
Life since we have gotten back has been SO busy. We came back on a Tuesday and found out the next day that a friend of ours had killed himself. Not b/c he did not feel loved by those of us who were his friends, but over a girl... that sent us doing the whole Funeral Home thing. I am still having trouble grieving for him, I am just so upset with him... RIP David...
The house is keeping us supper busy, but things are really coming together!!
More details later....
